Painting the Landscape

This Blog contains continuing Landscape and Posts related to Classes I teach from time to time.

Landscape Painting maybe to some is an old fashioned form way low on the genre pole. For me though it is where I still begin. I hope to be near the origin of things and Art, rather than that easy Sunday painter's activity.

I painted in the Seventies out on Long Island with Paul Georges and Fairfield Porter. I've never stopped.

Anderson Ranch Arts Center

Faculty Bio

Gregory Botts attended the School of Visual Arts in 1970. He has shown at The Anne Plumb and Shafrazi Galleries in NYC since 1985, and recently with Steven Harvey Fine Art Projects and the Gerald Peters Gallery in Santa Fe. He has taught often at the NY Studio School the National Academy and at UC Santa Barbara. He is a member of the National Academy.
